Tuomari - Judge: IRENE McMANUS, kennel METEXA & TRIOGEN

I have served on the Committee of Scottish Kennel for approx 30 years, Chairman of Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Scotland and President of Scottish Toydog Society, I held the position of Secretary at Scottish Toydog Society for approx. 20+ years.

First became involved in pedigree dogs in 1967 when introduced to our home was a Dobermann, this was a life long ambition of my late husband John’s to own this breed. In 2009 we introduced Boston Terriers to our home. We had reasonable success making up several Champions in both breeds.  Over the years I have been involved in various clubs, elected to the Committee of the Scottish Kennel Club Executive Council in 1989 served on their various Committees and had the honour of holding the position of Convener for the last 7 years.

I have been judging all breeds at Open Shows since the early 70’s. was approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in Dobermanns 1986.  I eventually became more involved in the other breeds, now approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs 16 breeds in the Toy Group, 3 breeds in the Working Group, 1 breed in the Utility Group, Working Group & Best in Show.

I had the priviledge to judge the Toy Group at Crufts in 2018. Approved to award CC’s in Boston Terriers in 2015.

I’ve judged at CH level in Australia, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland.

I look forward to judging the Boston Terriers in Finland in August.
